Fishtown Kensington Business Improvement District (BID) is inviting locals to explore everything the new Stouts & Snouts activation has to offer. Kicking off this Saturday, March 15, at 11 a.m., participating neighborhood bars and restaurants will showcase their best stout beers, snout-inspired cocktails, and pork (or plant-based) dishes.
“The Fishtown District is thrilled to bring this destination, food-pairing happening to our thriving commercial corridor,” said Marc Collazzo, Executive Director of BID in a statement. “It’s a great way to spend a great day sampling delicious food and drink pairings at our unique eateries and taverns. We invite everyone to come join us for Stouts and Snouts because food tastes better when shared with friends.”
Different venues will be serving up stout beer specials, creative cocktails (many of which will feature Irish whiskey) and an assortment dishes covering pulled pork sandwiches to inventive plant-based alternatives and everything in between that’s on theme.

Restaurants and bars participating in the first year include: Bar Palmina, Barcade, Bottle Bar East, Dock Street Fishtown, Evil Genius Beer Company, Fette Sau, Fishtown Tavern, Front Street Cafe, Garage Fishtown, Interstate Drafthouse, Johnny Brenda’s, Kraftwork Bar, Lloyd Whiskey Bar, Meyers Brewing Company, Murph’s Bar, Punch Line Philly, R&D Cocktail Bar, Saint Lazarus Bar, Sancho Pistola’s, Source Urban Brewery and The International Bar.
Standouts include a pork roll Cubano sandwich (Barcade), pulled pork poutine (Kraftwork Bar), cavatelli with sausage (Murph’s Bar), a Celtic Mule (Punch Line Philly), Scotch egg (R&D Cocktail Bar), bacon broiled oysters with Irish butter (The International Bar) and much more.
“Through all seasons, the friends and business community of Fishtown enjoy coming together as proud hosts to help our neighborhood share its energy, pride and diversity,” adds Paul Kimport, owner of Johnny Brenda’s and The International Bar. “It’s a growing enthusiasm for serving as ambassadors to help both visitors and neighborhood friends discover new things here and enjoy themselves. This March 15th with a nod to Saint Patrick’s Day — we heartily encourage visitors to come follow their rainbow and enjoy the journey.”
Specials begin at 11 a.m. and will run through each establishment’s closing time. For a full list of themed offerings, check online at fishtowndistrict.com
