A 16-year-old Mariana Bracetti Academy Charter School student, in an attempt to evade police Monday afternoon, jumped from one Market-Frankford Line train to the other.
SEPTA Spokesman Andrew Busch said Tuesday that the student began a shouting match with a teller at the Erie-Torresdale Station after his student pass wouldn’t work.
A struggle ensued with police, and the student jumped the turnstile and hopped into a westbound train.
Once Inside, he stepped between the trains, climbed to the top and jumped onto an eastbound train when it rolled to a stop. He slid onto the platform, but was caught by police at street level.
