If there wasn’t enough of a reason to head down to East Passyunk this sunny season, Philadelphians can now finish out the warmer months with Summer Swigs.
This weekly happy hour rotates offerings from various top-tier restaurants and bars on Wednesdays from 5 to 7 p.m. where one business acts as the host to the event. This go-around (Aug. 9) Stogie Joe’s Tavern will offer a selection of light bites and discounted libations, available for one night only. Later this month Noir will host on Aug.23, The Dutch’s turn will then be on Sept. 6 and Flannel will close out the series with Sept. 14.
And as the release states, one constant Wednesday-only happy hour is Chef Nicholas Elmi’s Laurel, with its menu encompassing $2 oysters, $6 wines, $6 beers, and $12 cocktails. In addition to Summer Swigs, a variety of local restaurants and bars are following suit with happy hours to experience throughout the week, and even some on the weekends.

Then finally, as a release states, on Wednesdays throughout the summer and fall, East Passyunk Avenue will additionally host its weekly Farmer’s Market from 3 to 7 p.m. in front of the South Philadelphia Older Adult Center, located at the corner of East Passyunk Avenue and Dickinson Street.
