Super Bowl odds show small changes after 2021 NFL Draft

With the 2021 NFL Draft completed, teams around the league get to look at their shiny new prospects that help provide some promise of better days ahead.

Granted, it takes more than just one or two draft picks to turn the fortunes of a team around, but the foundation for those rebuilding can certainly be found on draft night.

For those teams looking to get over the top in terms of Super Bowl contention, the draft could provide a missing piece to at least make a stronger push, but following the 2021 NFL Draft, not much has changed when it comes to looking at the favorites to lift the Lombardi Trophy in February of 2022.

According to OddsChecker, the defending-champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs remain the favorites to battle it out for Super Bowl LVI:

“Not many surprises here. The post-draft changes to odds are always minute, but they do show how oddsmakers believe a team did,” OddsChecker spokesman Kyle Newman told MetroBET. “For instance, the Jets moved from +550 to miss the playoffs to +600, showing how they feel about Zach Wilson and his chances.

“Some of the biggest surprises were on the rookie of the year markets. Guys like Aaron Robison and Pete Werner were listed on the market, while their new teammates Payton Turner and Azeez Ojulari were either given worse odds or weren’t listed. In a way, this is the oddsmakers’ way of giving their own draft grades.”
