Detectives released surveillance video and images Tuesday in an attempt to identify two men who knocked a 62-year-old man unconscious last week during a robbery in North Philadelphia.
The attack occurred just before 10:15 p.m. Sunday, March 12, at 12th Street and Girard Avenue, according to authorities.
Police said the suspects walked up behind him the man and punched him hard. The victim’s head then smashed into a nearby wall. The pair stole the man’s cellphone and cash before fleeing the scene, investigators said.
The man was transported to Temple University Hospital in critical condition, with brain bleeding and several facial fractures, according to authorities.
