Two men robbed a woman at gunpoint last month in North Philadelphia and returned to the scene a short time later in an attempt to steal more items from her, investigators said.
Police released surveillance images and video Monday in an effort to catch the suspects in the incident, which happened at around 5:30 a.m. Saturday, July 5, on the 3200 block of Allegheny Avenue.
The clip shows a man getting out of a car and approaching two people. Authorities said the victim was getting into her car when the suspects robbed her.
While they initially fled the area, the men came back and pulled into an alley south of Allegheny before trying to rob the victims again, according to the PPD.
Eventually, they fled in a white Mercedes sedan, police added. One of the suspects was wearing a brown sweatshirt with “1977” on it at the time of the robbery, detectives said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the PPD’s Northwest Detective Division at 215-686-3353/3354 or call or text the tip line at 215-686-TIPS (8477).
A total of 775 robberies involving a gun have been reported in Philadelphia this year, down 20% compared to the same date in 2024, according to police data.
