Dim Sum House by Jane G’s 

Dim Sum means “touch the heart” in Chinese, and the comforting and delicious dishes that Dim Sum House provides truly make that statement ring true. The atmosphere is chic but relaxing and the menu items are simple but complex with bold flavors and zest including their Shanghai pork soup dumplings, shrimp cheung fun, Peking duck, ginger scallion lobster and many more. The beverage selection pairs perfectly with the food as well, DSH offers specialty crafted cocktails, craft beer selections, wine by the glass, a delicious assortment of cocktails and a selection of imported teas from China.

Chick’s 

Chick’s has only been open in South Philly for about a year and a half, but already they have become a staple in the Point Breeze area. The industrial and modern atmosphere mixes well with the upgraded old-school recipes they serve. Most people claim Philadelphia does not have the best pizza selection; Chick’s proves those people wrong with savory selections such as Margherita, truffle shuffle, la viva, old school and much more. Other menu items range from indulgent mussel selections to braised beef short rib. Chick’s is also open for brunch with some of the best Bloody Mary’s in town. Chick’s is definitely one of the best places to eat in Philadelphia this weekend.

Royal Boucherie 

Royal Boucherie certainly brings meals fit for royalty to Philadelphia. Top Chef winner Nicholas Elmi opened the Old City spot brings delightful locally sourced with inspiration from French cuisine  (Chef Elmi’s specialty) to the City of Brotherly Love while offering a unique upscale atmosphere. The bar and tavern area is homey but chic, the dining room is perfect for private events, and the upstairs garden provides a little slice of heaven to appreciate while you sip on your cocktails. Delicious menu items include oysters, champagne-braised escargot, country pate, steak au poivre rigatoni with braised goat and much more. RB is also open for lunch, brunch and late night.

Pumpkin

For over 14 years Pumpkin has brought the city of Philadelphia delicious and honest new-American cuisine. Tucked away Center City, this BYOB spot has a lot to offer even without liquor. The fresh and beautiful meal selections are as tasty as they appear, there are no frills or diversions- just solid, out-of-this-world, delectable cuisine. Tio Flores 

If you want an authentic and comfortable  Mexican spot with a fun atmosphere and colorful aesthetics, look no further. Tio Flores offers a slice of heaven right on South Street with appetizing menu items such as pomegranate guacamole, fajita nachos, an assortment of tacos, battered street corn and much more. The most unique and sweet item they have is their unforgettable dessert nachos made with cinnamon-sugar fried tortillas, vanilla ice cream, dulce de leche, chocolate sauce and cookie crumbles. Tio Flores also offers a delicious brunch selection and plenty of tequila, beer and cocktail selections.
