‘The Book of Mormon’ breaks record for Forrest Theatre

“The Book of Mormon” broke records once again. The Tony Award-winning musical broke the house record for the Forrest Theatre, grossing a total of $1,678,495. This tops the $1,617,700 record held by “Jersey Boys” in 2012.

Featuring music and lyrics by Trey Parker, Robert Lopez and Matt Stone, “The Book of Mormon” has broken eight house records in 31 venues across the country. Additionally, the record was broken 49 times in Broadway’s Eugene O’Neill Theatre.

The show will continue playing at the Forrest Theatre through Sept. 14.
