Fishtown is getting a little bizarre—this weekend will kick off a new series for the charming part of the city.
Dubbed “The Under the El Bazaar,” this fresh experience will take over North Front Street with plenty of food, fun and one-of-a-kind finds.
“The Under the El Bazaar is what the Fishtown District is all about—bringing people together to celebrate local talent, support small businesses, and create lasting memories. It’s a space where families, friends, and neighbors can enjoy a day full of music, food, and fun in a safe, welcoming, and truly unique setting. We’re proud to offer an experience that reflects the heart of our community,” says Fishtown District Executive Director Marc Collazzo.
Taking place over the course of the summer (June 28, July 26 and Aug. 23) from noon to 7 p.m., this weekend will kick off the first iteration with an open-air celebration filled with pop-up shopping, street performers, live music, expanded outdoor dining, and more.

“From hand-crafted goods to eclectic performances and tasty treats, the Under the El Bazaar offers something for everyone,” Collazo continues. “Whether you’re shopping, sipping, or just soaking up the atmosphere, it’s the perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon in one of Philly’s most vibrant and eclectic neighborhoods.
We’re especially proud that many of our businesses are showing their support for Pride Month during the event, helping us foster a spirit of inclusion and celebration for all,” Collazo added.
Family-friendly activities span face painting, a balloon artist, and a caricature artist, plus, DJs, local bands and acoustic performers will be sprinkled throughout the day.
Vendors span Moss (upcycled clothes), ASGNMT (sneaker accessories), Crystal Cyborg (gem-wrapped jewelry), Cursed Baby (soldered pearl jewelry), Taiku (herbal wellness), bbugnug (second-hand goodies) and more.
Local favorites like LMNO (1749 N. Front Street), Evil Genius Beer Company (1727 N. Front Street), Percy Street Barbecue (1700 N. Front Street), and The International Bar (1624 N Front Street) will be offering food and drink specials, sidewalk seating, and special in-house offerings throughout the day as well, a release notes. This family and fido friendly event is open to all. There is no admission cost, and food/drink is pay-as-you-go.
