Third Thursdays at Glen Foerd return with live music, food and plenty of family fun

Third Thursdays
Third Thursdays kick off on May 15 at Glen Foerd in Northeast Philadelphia.

Third Thursdays at Glen Foerd are back with entertainment for everyone, including a happy hour, live music, food, games, children’s activities, art and more.

This year’s Thursday dates include May 15, June 19, July 17, Aug. 21, and Sept. 18.

The events are open to the public, and attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or chairs, roam Glen Foerd’s historic grounds, and explore its Gilded Age mansion, which will be open for free self-guided tours.

Glen Foerd is an 18-acre public park and historic site located along the Delaware River in Northeast Philadelphia. Built in 1850, the estate consists of historic gardens, an Italianate-Classical Revival style mansion, and multiple additional structures.

Third Thursdays kick off on May 15, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and will include live entertainment presented by Philadelphia-based Japanese American multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Rachel Andie, arts and crafts activities for all ages, lawn games, and more. There will be food and drinks available on site for purchase.

Third Thursdays are pay-what-you-wish (recommended donation amount is $10). All donations help Glen Foerd continue to provide free community events throughout the year. Attendees are asked to register in advance by visiting Glen Foerd’s events page at glenfoerd.org/events.
