Three injured in Wednesday night shootings

Three people – including a 4-year-old girl – were wounded in a pair of shootings that occurred about a mile apart Wednesday night.

Gunfire erupted at around 9:30 p.m. on the 2000 block of E. Clementine Street in Kensington, striking the young girl in the abdomen, investigators said. A 24-year-old man who was next to her was also shot in his back and calf.

Both victims are expected to survive, according to authorities.

At around 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, a 30-year-old man was shot in his right leg on the porch of a house on the 3000 block of Belgrade Street in Port Richmond, police said. He was hospitalized in stable condition.

Authorities reported that no one was apprehended immediately following either shooting.
