Three kids sent to hospital after school bus involved in hit and run

A motorist crashed into a school bus in Southwest Philadelphia earlier this morning and the jumped out of his car and fled the scene, police said.

The accident, which occurred on the 5600 block of Lindberg Boulevard around 7 a.m., sent three children to the hospital.

Police Spokeswoman Jillian Russell said the children were treated at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and then released.

Police are still investigating the incident.
