Police are looking for three masked gunmen who robbed a Northeast Philadelphia Rite Aid early this morning. Investigators said the suspects entered the store at 2503 Welsh Road shortly before 4:20 a.m.
One of the men ordered the security guard on the ground, while a second man forced the shift manager into the office and ordered her to open the safe. A third man robbed a customer of his wallet containing about $100. The second man returned from the back with a tray of quarters and $2,000 in cash and all three suspects fled on foot. No injuries were reported.
The first suspect is described as a six-foot-one black man in his late 20s with a stocky build. He was wearing a gray hoodie and a face mask and carrying a black pistol, police said. The second suspect is described as a five-foot-four Hispanic man of about 20 years old with a thin build. He had a silver pistol and was wearing a gray hoodie, gloves and a white mask covering his face. The third man is described as a five-foot-six Hispanic man. He was wearing a red hoodie, gloves, black pants, black Nike sneakers and a face mask and carrying a black handgun.
