Three people were shot, two of them fatally, in three separate incidents over the weekend.
Police received reports of a shooting at 66th Street and Ogontz Avenue in West Oak Lane around 7:30 p.m. yesterday. They found a woman, 20, who had reportedly just gotten off of a bus when two men shot her in the mouth and neck. She was rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where she is in stable condition.
Police are looking for two black men in a gray or silver minivan.
Less than three hours later, police found a man, 33, with a gunshot wound to his head lying next to his car on the 500 block of West Cumberland Street in North Philadelphia. He was rushed to Temple University Hospital, where he died around 10:30 p.m.
Shortly before 5 a.m. this morning, officers found a man, 30, on the 900 block of South Conestoga Street in the Kingsessing section of West Philadelphia. He had been shot in the chin, chest and multiple times in the arms and died on the scene.
No arrests have yet been made in any of the incidents. The two deaths bring the number of homicide victims in 2012 to 130, compared to 121 on this day last year. The murder rate to date is the highest since 2007.
