Tiger Woods was in town Tuesday to test out Merion Golf Club.
The Ardmore course is hosting the U.S. Open in two weeks. Local station 6ABC posted a few photos on their website of Woods playing a practice round. Woods’ agent, via The Golf Channel, confirmed the golfer was in Philadelphia.
Woods reportedly played with Philly native and Merion member Buddy Marucci, the player Woods beat to win the 1995 U.S. Amateur. It marked the first time Woods had ever played at Merion.
The U.S. Open is slated for June 10-16 on Merion’s famed East Course.
