An upper torso was pulled out of the Schuylkill River this morning, police said.
Police Spokeswoman Tanya Little said the body part was pulled out of the river at Interstate 76 and University Avenue. Neither the sex of the torso nor its identity have been determined.
And she said it would take time to investigate the matter.
This is the fourth body pulled from the river since the beginning of March.
A man’s lifeless body was pulled out of the river on March 31, police said.
Spokesperson Leah Lefton said the body was extracted near the 3000 block of Penrose Avenue in South Philadelphia around 8:48 a.m.
The man’s identity has not yet been released.
