A man allegedly ripped the clothes off of a 32-year-old transgender woman and stabbed her multiple times early Saturday morning in East Mount Airy.
Police said the victim was visiting 45-year-old Robert Easley at his mother’s house on the 200 block of E. Montana Street, and the two got into an altercation.
Easley attempted to violently take off her clothes, and, after she pushed back, he grabbed a knife and stabbed her, according to investigators.
When officers arrived at the house at around midnight, the woman ran downstairs covered in blood and told them Easley tried to kill her, authorities said.
She was rushed to Einstein Medical Center with serious injuries, according to police.
Easley was charged with aggravated assault, possession of an instrument of crime with intent, simple assault and reckless endangerment, according to court documents. His bail was set at 10% of $75,000.
