Two arrested after trying to smuggle drugs into high school in a doughnut: Police

Two men were arrested on Monday after they were allegedly caught trafficking drugs into a high school by hiding pills in a doughnut,Philly.com reported.

The men, 21-year-old Brian Perry Jr. and 18-year-old Ilker Ceyla, a student at the school, were caught after school officials became suspicious of a bag lunch Perry dropped off for Ceyla at Bordentown Regional High School.

“School officials were suspicious and searched the bag, which contained a doughnut with six Xanax pills concealed in a plastic bag inside the hole, police said. Officials immediately contacted the police,” the Burlington County Times reported.

Perry was arrested and charged with drug distribution and possession, according to the Burlington County Times. He was released from jail after posting a $2,500 bail.

Ceyla was arrested and charged with criminal attempt to possess drugs with the intent to distribute and criminal attempt to possess drugs in the incident. He was also slapped with an additional possesion charge after police allegedly found marijuana. Ceyla was placed in Burlington County Jail in Mount Holly and released.
