Two men were killed in separate shootings Wednesday night and early Thursday morning in Philadelphia, authorities said.
Police were called just after 10 p.m. to the corner of 66th Street and Saybrook Avenue in the Elmwood section of Southwest Philadelphia for a report of a person with a gun.
Officers found 20-year-old Ameen Marshall, of the 6500 block of Kingsessing Avenue, with gunshot wounds to his chest, left leg and left arm. He was rushed to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he died about 40 minutes later, police said.
No arrests have been made, and there was no word on a motive.
Then, at around 12:30 a.m. Thursday, a 38-year-old man was shot multiple times in the face and chest on the 1200 block of 69th Avenue in East Oak Lane, police said. He died shortly thereafter at Albert Einstein Medical Center.
Homicide detectives continue to investigate the killing.
In addition, just before 12:30 a.m., in Kensington, a 30-year-old man was stabbed multiple times in his back, right ear and neck, authorities said. He was listed in stable condition at the hospital.
In South Philadelphia, officers rushed a man to the hospital at around 1:45 p.m. Wednesday after he had been shot twice in the face on the 1800 block of S. 22nd Street. He is listed in stable condition, according to police.
Earlier in the day, just before 10 a.m., someone stabbed a 22-year-old man during a robbery on the 700 block of E. Clearfield Street in Kensington, investigators said.
He was transported to the hospital with wounds under his chin and on his left elbow, police said. Authorities said his injuries were not life-threatening.
No arrests were reported in connection with any of the incidents.
