Two men were shot early Sunday morning while leaving Manayunk performance venue and nightclub The Grape Room, according to police.
Officers responded around 1:20 a.m. to the 4300 block of Cresson Street – about three blocks away from The Grape Room – for a report of a double shooting.
Investigators said one man, 35, was shot three times in the chest and rushed to Roxborough Hospital, then transferred to Temple University Hospital, where he remained in critical condition Sunday afternoon.
A second man, 36, was shot once in the left arm and hand and taken to Temple in stable condition, according to authorities.
Police said the second victim told investigators the two men were, along with several friends, leaving The Grape Room at 105 Grape St. when they were shot by an unknown black male wearing a red sweatshirt.
The victim said he was unaware of a possible motive for the shooting.
Officials with the Northwest Detectives Division are continuing to investigate the crime.
