Two Teens Suspected in Independence Mall Swarm Attack Surrender

Two of the three Mastery Charter School students involved in a July 29 attack of a pedestrian have surrendered, police confirmed today.

Names and photos of the boys will not be released due to their juvenile status, but Mastery Charter CEO Scott Jordan said yesterday that all of the students involved were eighth-and-ninth graders at the school.

As we reported earlier today, the students were identified after Mastery school officials obtained surveillance footage of the 4th and Walnut Street beating and were able to positively identify three of the six teens involved.
