Two things not to miss in Philadelphia this week

Two things not to miss in Philadelphia this week
R. Kennedy for Visit Philadelphia

With all the performances, parties, festivals andpop-ups filling Philly’s calendar in the spring, it’s hard to know what to go to. Here are two eventsthat definitely earned their spotsin our schedule this week.

Twilight in the Gardens:
The Magic Gardens host a “multi-sensory” event the fourth Friday of every month in mosaic artist Isaiah Zagar’s labyrinth-like space. This Friday, from 7 to 10 p.m., join for a performance by the Curtis Institute’s Bok Trio, which features oboe, bassoon and keyboard, and a lesson on creating your own musical instrument fromartist Susanna Loewy.
$12 for students, seniors and members, $15 for everyone else; 1020 South St.

Spruce Street Harbor Park preview parties:
Our favorite summer hangout is throwing two fundraising parties before it opens for the season this weekend. On Wednesday, support the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation, which runs the free park, for the Spruce Street Harbor Park Promenade. It’s from 6 to 9 p.m., with food, drinks and a fireworks display. Thursday night is the (more affordable) Endless Summer bash, from 7 to 10 p.m., with roller skating, live entertainment and a sneak peek of the season’s food and drink before the park officially opens to the public.
$150 for the Promenade; $20 to $30 for Endless Summer; Columbus Boulevard at Spruce Street
