A 19-year-old man fell to his death inside an apartment complex blocks from Temple University in North Philadelphia, officials said.
Landon Nuss, 19, of Lititz, Pa., fell around 1:30 a.m. Sunday inside the private Kardon/Atlantic apartment complex at North 10th Street and West Montgomery Avenue, according to a university statement.
Nuss, who was visiting friends who are students of the university, fell one story while smoking in the complex’s stairwell.Nuss was not a Temple student, a university spokesperson said.
The incident is being ruled an accident.
“The university extends its sympathy to Nuss’s family and friends,” the university said in a statement.
