Victorino, three other Phils file for arbitration

Shane Victorino, Carlos Ruiz, Joe Blanton and Chad Durbin filed for salary arbitration this past weekend.

The four players can begin negotiating with the Phillies tomorrow after the parties exchange numbers. The team can still agree on 2010 contracts with each of them. Arbitration hearings don’t begin until next month.

Blanton earned $5.475 million last season; Victorino netted $3.125 million; and Durbin made $1.635 million. Ruiz is eligible for the first time. He pocketed $475,000 in 2009.
