6ABC reported that the blaze erupted around 5:35 p.m. and swiftly went from two alarms to four.
“I gathered whatever I could [and] quickly went outside,” building resident Habib Bhatti told NBC10. “As I was going there was smoke starting to build up on the lower floors. Then we got out. We could see smoke starting to come from the floors.”
Firefighters told reporters that, so far, no injuries are reported but that the area is cordoned off from traffic and pedestrians.
