Video: ‘I will not resign’ says AG Kathleen Kane

At a press conference this morning announcing a drug bust, state Attorney General Kathleen Kane addressed a grand jury presentment that was unsealed today recommending criminal charges of perjury and obstruction against her for allegedly leaking information from a previous grand jury probe.

“I will not resign,” Kane said when asked if she would leave office if the presentment leads to a criminal indictment.

Montgomery County DA Risa Vetri Ferman must review the presentment and decide whether to indict Kane.

Kane’s office requested that the presentment be unsealed. She says the charges recommended by the presentment have no merit.
