Love him or hate, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is a savvy business man.
Jones is featured prominently in a new Papa John’s commercial airing in the Dallas-Fort Worth market. In the ad — no, this isn’t a typo — Jones is seen rapping while hyping the new Cowboys 5-star combo deal. The commercial will run through the Super Bowl in 2013.
“Jerry’s break dancing act in an earlier Papa John’s TV spot was a big hit, and we think it’s time to show off some of his other talent,” said Bob Paine, regional marketing director for Papa John’s International.
Jones made headlines Sunday night, when a strict set of rules for troubled receiver Dez Bryant was revealed. Under Jerry’s guidelines, Bryant may not drink alcohol or go to strip clubs — and team-approved security guards will drive him to and from practices and games.
