Philadelphia police are seeking the public’s help identifying the man who robbed a hotel at Philadelphia International Airport last week.
The robbery happened at Extended Stay Hotel at 8880 Tinicum Blvd., in Eastwick, about 7:48 p.m.on Oct. 23.
Police have posted surveillance video footage of the robbery to YouTube. The video shows the suspect hop the front desk counter and take money from a cash register before driving away in a Volvo station wagon.
The suspect had entered the hotel a few minutes earlier to inquire about using a bathroom. He exited when told there was not a public bathroom, only to return a few minutes later to rob the hotel.
Police describe the suspect as dark-skinned black male, about 30 years old, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 175 pounds, with a full beard. He was wearing a gray, zippered, hooded sweatshirt, a dark hat, black track pants with white stripes on the sides and dark sneakers.
