Police are looking for a man who stabbed two men and stole a cartload of copper wire from Home Depot Wednesday evening.
Investigators said the suspect left the store at 2539 Castor Avenue through the contractor exit around 4:15 p.m. without paying for the wire. When a security guard tried to stop him, the suspect pulled a knife and cut him in the arm. He then stabbed a second man in the stomach who attempted to grab him in a bear hug. The man fled in a white work truck.
The suspect is described as a 6-foot, 250-pound black man, aged 30 to 35, with a dark complexion and short black hair.
