Detectives released surveillance clips Monday in an attempt to identify a suspect who fatally shot a man last month in West Philadelphia.
Arthur Thomas, 39, died after being shot several times at around 8:50 a.m. Sunday, June 11, on the 6000 block of Media Street, near where he lived, authorities said. Officers found him in the driver’s seat of a black Hyundai Sonata, according to police.
The video includes clear footage of a man walking down the street, before switching to a grainier clip showing the gunman firing into a car at close range.
Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to contact the PPD’s Homicide Division at 215-686-3334/3335; call or text 215-686-8477; or go to https://www.phillypolice.com/forms/submit-a-tip.
The city offers a $20,000 reward for tips leading to an arrest and an conviction in a homicide case.
