Vineland, N.J. man hits $4.8 million jackpot

A South Jersey man is $4.8 million richer after winning the Pick 6 Lotto last week.

The man, whose name has not been released, purchased the winning ticket from a ShopRite in Vineland, according to New Jersey lottery officials. Store employees said the man has been a longtime customer, reported WMGM-TV in New Jersey.

More than 700,000 tickets were sold for the Aug. 23 drawing, but only one matched all six numbers, lottery officials said. Thirty-five people won $1,000 cash prizes for having five of the six numbers.

The next drawing will be held Monday with a starting jackpot of $2 million.
