“WandaVision” marks the beginning of the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It will unveil some of the enigmas of superhero history. In addition, this series innovates the way of watching science fiction by combining situation comedy with digital tools, which gives it a touch of humor without losing the mystery and shocking battles.
It stars actor Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen, who spoke about the challenges of making this miniseries, which is made up of random timelines, battles, mysteries and love.
Olsen explained to Metro that the series has a sitcom format and they had to film some scenes with a live audience. It was an overwhelming experience for her.
“It was very stressful, I had a lot of adrenaline. It confused my brain to be in front of the audience and there were many sudden changes. Besides that, I had the camera next to me, so it was very complicated at first. I was very grateful when we included the fourth wall in the next episode,” she confessed.
Elizabeth also explained that in some scenes she felt as if she was starring in “Bewitched” (1964) because of her powers and her apparent normal life.
“I really liked the timeline of this story. You can see how women change over the decades and also what society wants from them. But we are not really trying to represent an honest reality of the 60s or 70s. It is simply a fiction, something we could find on TV in those years,” she concluded.
