Want to volunteer for the NFL draft in Philadelphia? Here’s how

The NFL draft will make its return to Philadelphia from April 27-29, and with up to 200,000 football fans expected to flock to the Ben Franklin Parkway for the event itself and for the expansive NFL Experience, the city needs help.

According go the NFL and to discoverphl.com, the draft needs volunteers over the age of 18 to work at least two shifts of five or six hours during the NFL draft — which starts that Thursday night and lasts until midday Saturday.

The actual draft will take place in a custom built theaterjust at the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s landing with the rest of the street closed off for casual fans to come celebrate football.

The NFL says it needs “Draft Ambassadors (working with Fan Mobile Pass), Field Goal Kick, Fan Bag Distribution, VIP Hospitality Greeters, Wayfinding, Volunteer Check-In, Sponsor Activations, Virtual Reality, Play Football Activations, Vertical Jump, 40-Yard Dash, Locker Rooms, Vince Lombardi Trophy, Super Bowl Rings Display, AFC/NFC Locker Rooms and much, much more! Volunteers will be assigned a specific position and provided with training upon arrival on-site. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility.”

Volunteers will receive a short basic training at Lincoln Financial Field on Tuesday, April 25, and will getan NFL shirt and jacket. They will be asked to wear khakis and sneakers when working.
