The Philadelphia Police have released a stunning video of a man being shot down and killed on a sidewalk in a brazen daylight shooting from earlier this year.
The footage can be seen here:
According to police, this incident occurred on March 19, at about 7:35 p.m., when two men – the police did not identify the victim or the man he is seen with in this footage – walked along the 1900 block of Roberts Avenue at Green Street, just about a block away from Roosevelt Boulevard, when a masked man runs from around the corner.
As can be seen on the video, the murderer can be seen raising his hands at the victim. Police said that the killer – described as a black male in his late teens, early 20s, standing about five-foot four to six inches tall, with a thin build and wearing dark colored clothing with a mask and hooded jacket at the time – fired several shots into the victim, striking the deceased numerous times.
In the footage, the shooter appears to fire until the man falls, and then the killer stands over his victim, firing several more shots into him.
After the shooting, law enforcement officials said, the shooter fled the scene of the crime in a silver mini-van headed north on Green Street.
Shortly after the shooting, the unidentified victim was pronounced dead after being taken to a hospital nearby, police said.
