At least one person was killed and three others were wounded in violent incidents Saturday and Sunday across the city.
Officers were called just after 1:15 a.m. Sunday to the 5500 block of Angora Terrace in Southwest Philadelphia, where they found a 57-year-old man who had been assaulted, police said.
The victim, who name was not publicly released, was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, and he died of his injuries at around 2:20 a.m., according to authorities. No one was arrested in the immediate aftermath of the killing.
Later, just before 3:15 am. Sunday, two men in ski masks shot a 26-year-old man in his head, hip and arm on the 2700 block of N. Croskey Street in North Philadelphia, investigators said. Medics took him to Temple University Hospital, where he was in stable condition.
A 47-year-old man was in critical condition after he was stabbed on Saturday just before midnight on the 7900 block of Dungan Road in Fox Chase, police said. He was hospitalized with wounds to his back, stomach and right arm, according to authorities.
Police said a 24-year-old woman was grazed in her head when shots were fired just before 11:45 p.m. Saturday on the 4800 block of N. Howard Street in Feltonville. Her injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Investigators identified the suspect as a 44-year-old man, though no charges had been filed as of Sunday.
