West Chester University marching band will be in Macy’s parade

A local university's marching band has been selected to perform this Thursday in the iconic Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

West Chester University’s Incomparable Golden Rams Marching Band was reportedly one of four marching bands accepted out of 138 bands that applied to march in the famous parade.

“Anytime you have the opportunity to give students this kind of opportunity it’s something to be proud of,” the marching band’s director Andrew Yozviak told KYW Newsradio. “The kids are chomping at the bit to get up to the city and perform for the New Yorkers.”

The Rams are set to perform immediately before Santa Claus makes his appearance.
