A woman was severely injured and two children were hospitalized following a hit-and-run crash Monday night in West Philadelphia.

Police said the driver struck the trio — which included a 3-year-old girl and a 13-year-old girl — as they were crossing the street just before 10 p.m. on the 5000 block of Haverford Avenue.

The woman, 29, suffered a severe leg injury and was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in critical condition, according to authorities.

Investigators said the 3-year-old sustained cuts to her face and body, and the teenager was being treated for cuts and bruises. Both girls were later listed in stable condition at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Police described the fleeing car as a dark-colored vehicle, possibly a Nissan, with tinted windows. Detectives released a video Tuesday showing the car whipping around a corner just before the crash.
