A shooting Monday night inside a West Philadelphia house left a man dead and two women hospitalized, authorities said.
Officers responded just after 7 p.m. to the 5400 block of Baltimore Avenue, where they found a man with a gunshot wound to his back in a second-floor bedroom, investigators said. He died about an hour later at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.
Police identified the victim Tuesday as 26-year-old Donquile Veney, who lived on the block.
A 26-year-old woman was shot in her left hip area, and a 21-year-old woman was struck in her left hand, according to authorities. Both were later listed in stable condition at Penn Presbyterian, police said.
Investigators said a suspect was immediately arrested and a gun was recovered at the scene. Authorities have not publicly identified the suspect. An argument led to the shooting, according to police.
