For something laid back:
Dip Daddy
Even with the name, the offerings from this new service hold something special for everyone, but especially dads. For that special guy in your life, Philadelphians can order up a variety of dips from Chef Danny Giorgio, who has worked at Amada, Barbuzzo, Little Nonna’s and Bud & Marilyn’s, among others. The offerings span from fresh made-from-scratch dips and a selection of chips that range from rye chips to pretzel “mustaches,” all homemade. Dips range from the OG Pimento (their take on the Southern cheese) to The Buff (buffalo chicken), to the The Schmear (a variety of breakfast and cream cheese items blended into a delectable spread) and a few in between. The service delivers to most zip codes in the city and is perfect for a Father’s Day weekend treat for your dad who is staying in to watch the 76ers game, or for a late-night post-dinner treat.
Barcelona Wine Bar
Down on East Passyunk Avenue, Philadelphians can take their dads out for a special brunch this Sunday that they won’t forget. Their Father’s Day Brunch menu features a variety of tapas and dishes both simple and elegant, including seasonal picks alongside Spanish specialties and Mediterranean flavors like benedicts, torrijas and huevos estrellados, and of course, paella. On top of the culinary offerings, diners can also purchase a last minute Barcelona Wine Bar Experience. According to the release, there are four in-restaurant “experiences” designed to showcase the best of the restaurant in a VIP way, including the Charcutería Experience, the Spanish Wine Experience, a Wine & Tapas Experience, and a Paella Experience. Charcutería and Spanish Wine Experience are each $60 and the Wine & Tapas and Paella are $130. Gift cards for the experience are beautifully designed cardstock with gold or silver foil accents.
