City officials recently announced that restaurants will be allowed to offer indoor dining this weekend. Starting Saturday, restaurants throughout Philadelphia will be permitted to open at 25% of their seated capacity. And local hotspots are certainly bringing their A game to the table with exciting new menus, specials and plenty of Philly flavor.
Steak 48
Steak 48 opened last fall, and comes from James Beard Award-Nominated restaurateurs and brothers Jeffrey and Michael Mastro. The eatery not only offers menu items that will burst with flavor, but an experience that will truly cater to every elegant need you have—or never knew you had. On top of having guests feel at home, Steak 48 has a menu chock full of dishes and drinks that bring an unexpected, yet very welcomed new take on what a modern American steakhouse looks like.
Choices range from prime steaks, ultra-premium wagyu beef, locally-sourced seafood and an extensive, diverse wine and cocktail list, but the minutia of the wow-factor is certainly in the details. You enjoy deviled eggs as an appetizer? How about crispy shrimp deviled eggs to up your app game? Ordering a steak or seafood entree? Up the ante even more by adding on sauteéd blue cheese, chef styled burrata, truffle butter, a crab cake “oscar,” fresh topped tomato herb gremoleta and more. Adding some spirits to your meal as well? Why not throw in some blue cheese olives to your dirty martini and your tastebuds will be set.

Assembly Rooftop Lounge
Why not enjoy the resurgence of indoor dining in Philly with a view? The hotspot known as Assembly will be open for indoor dining starting this weekend and those who head to the rooftop lounge on top of The Logan Hotel will have prime views of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, City Hall and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. If you still want to hang outdoors however, Assembly will still have an ample supply of fire pits and brand new heat lamps to keep guests warm amidst the winter weather.

Talula’s Garden
Talula’s is a fan favorite for diners for brunch, lunch and dinner. In addition to the expansive area of their socially distanced outdoor “Garden Shack” heated seating, Talula’s Garden will open with 25% capacity for indoor dining beginning this Saturday. The popular establishment is offering their menu of seasonal, farm to table fare and can accommodate a variety of different diets and preferences, from vegetarian to vegan, to gluten-free, to dairy-free and more.

The Bourse
If you’re having trouble picking out which cuisine you’re in the mood for, Philadelphia’s own artisanal food hall has all of the options you need for indoor dining. Guests are invited to browse the Old City establishment and indulge in a variety of food options from multiple vendors including Prescription Chicken, Marino Brothers, Scoop DeVille Ice Cream, The Original Hot Dog Factory, and Grubhouse while practicing social distancing.
According to the release, due to big open spaces in the large food hall, operators are able to comfortably spread out all tables for guests dining indoors. Additionally, the food hall staff has installed sneeze guards at all vendors, floor markers distanced at six feet apart, and hand sanitizer stations at each entrance. No reservations are needed.

The Wayward
This weekend diners can head to Philly’s own French-inspired eatery and really indulge in the brasserie environment starting this Saturday. According to a release, at the Wayward guests will delight in an indulgent selection of dishes that perfectly introduce The Wayward’s adventurous menu concept with snacks such as corn beignets, escargot croquettes and cheese with local charcuterie accompaniments; raw bar selections of rotating oysters, chilled Maine mussels and plump Gulf shrimp; and plates such as steak frites, a hanger steak with bone marrow chimichurri, branzino almondine with green beans and fig jus, and a signature Pennsylvania-raised angus beef burger.

Milkboy
This local brand is known for their recording studio in Northern Liberties as well as their two bar-restaurant locations, but this Saturday, Milkboy’s South Street location will be opening its doors for indoor dining. Diners can look forward to a stellar menu featuring different bites and libations including burger variations, fried chicken, cocktails, canned beers, and a unique selection of house-made seltzers. Contact-less menus will be available via scannable QR codes as well.
