As part of Hotel Palomar, you’d expect this Rittenhouse spot to be intimidatingly chic. Square 1682 does takes food and booze seriously, but that doesn’t make it fussy. In fact, fromJune 7 to Aug. 31, outdoor weekend brunch allows you to bring your dog; Fido gets a menu of his own. Partial proceeds benefit Operation Ava, a Philadelphia no-kill shelter.

Twenty Manning Grill
Like so many outdoor seating options, this one is a little tight. Actually, it’s close quarters when you sit indoors, too. But, trust us, it’s worth it. Check out the seasonal drink menu that combines quality ingredients, like spirits from Art in the Age, with tongue-twisting drink names (see: the Rural Juror). When you can no longer clearly state the drink name, that means you’re flagged, right?
