After voting for your candidate of choice, there’s nothing like the humble social media brag of posting a photo with your “I Voted” sticker.
Since 2020 is a big election year, Philly wanted to bump up it’s “I Voted” sticker game.
The City Commissioners and the School District of Philadelphia teamed up to resign the “I Voted” sticker, and the competition has been narrowed down to nine finalists who were announced Thursday.
The goal of this project is to have the winning sticker printed for the April 28 primary.
“With the all-important 2020 elections upon us, this is the perfect time for us to roll out a new, unique sticker and get people excited about going to the polls,” City Commissioner Chairwoman Lisa Deeley said in a statement.
Elementary school students, adults and every age in between participated in the contest. It was also noted by NBC that designs that don’t include Spanish will be translated. The designs showcase a lot of legendary landmarks, transportation and more.
