Why does Jalen Reagor have a revenge game mentality ahead of his return to Philadelphia?

The tale of Jalen Reagor is one that will haunt Eagles fans for a long time. It appears to be haunting the TCU product even more.

The Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings will lock horns on Monday night. The Vikings now not only house Justin Jefferson, but Jalen Reagor as well following a late offseason trade.

Naturally, Jalen Reagor was asked about his return to Philadelphia and his response shouldn’t surprise anyone:

Jalen Reagor seeks revenge

Reagor, who through two years in Philadelphia had only 695 yards and a trio of touchdowns, is coming into this weekend with a mentality of revenge…why?

If anything, the Eagles did him a favor. Reagor had a tumultuous time in Philly after being drafted in the first-round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He was immediately overshadowed by DeVonta Smith when he arrived on the scene one year later, and through a myriad of personal setbacks and on-field struggles, the TCU product rapidly developed a bust label.

A change of scenery was everything Reagor could’ve dreamed of. The signing of A.J Brown might have caused him a few months of unsettlednesss, but the Eagles traded him to a team that should be playoff bound and has less external pressure from fans and media.

But after countless social media blackouts and returns where he positioned himself as the underdog, it’s not surprising. He’s an NFL player looking for anything to fuel a competitive edge. I wouldn’t take it personally…although a revenge game of 3 yards and 2 fair catches is truly terrifying to imagine.
