Wings host Twitter jersey night

Here’s a quick reminder about story we alerted you to in late December …

The Philadelphia Wings, of the National Lacrosse League (NLL), will wear jerseys featuring their Twitter handles on the back this weekend (Saturday, 4 p.m., vs. Buffalo). They are the first pro sports team in North America to do it. Prior to the season, the Wings instructed all players to get Twitter accounts and even trained them on the social media network.

For more reaction from the lacrosse world, check out Lacrosse Magazine’s take.

Check back here for more details and an interview with a Wings player.
