Philadelphia police on Monday arrested Mary Jeffries, 19, for allegedly conspiring with an unknown man on Aug. 11 to rob a woman in Fishtown.

Investigators said Jeffries and the male suspect approached a 32-year-old woman from behind as she walked on the 1200 block of Leopard Street shortly after 1 a.m.

One of the assailants allegedly shocked the victim with a Taser and pulled her purse from her arm.

The woman turned around and saw the male suspect with her purse in his hand, along with Jeffries, according to police.

The man allegedly raised his arm as if he was going to fight, but police said both he and Jeffries fled when the victim started to scream.

Jeffries, of the 2500 block of Oakdale Street in North Philadelphia, was arrested near her home.

Officials also charged Jeffries in connection with two additional robberies: one on Aug. 13 on the 6600 block of Castor Avenue and one Sept. 2 on the 100 block of Lehigh Avenue.

She is, in total, charged with three counts each of robbery, criminal conspiracy and related offenses.

Police are still looking for the male suspect in the Taser robbery.
