Pennsylvania State Police on Friday charged a Havertown woman with criminal mischief for allegedly throwing a penny from a car window on I-76 near Spring Garden Street.
Investigators said Jennifer Youngers, 25, was the front seat passenger in a 2008 Jeep traveling west on the highway when she shortly before midnight threw a penny out of the vehicle’s window at a passing car.
Police said the coin toss caused minor nicks to the targeted car.
Youngers was stopped by police and charged with criminal mischief.
She is next due in court Oct. 2 for a status hearing.
