A woman who was found handcuffed, stabbed and shot in Fairmount Park has been identified.
Toy Charda Bryant, 26, of Chester, Delaware County, was found Tuesday morning near the Mann Center, 6ABC reported.
Bryant was found face down, and had been stabbed repeatedly and shot once in the back of the head. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police said they think Bryant was killed at another location, and her body was dumped in the park. No weapons were found at the scene.
Philadelphia Police Captain James Clark said it appeared Bryant struggled against her attacker or attackers.
“I believe she was in a fight for her life and unfortunately she lost,” Clark told 6ABC.
A couple on their way to work Tuesday called 911 around 8:15 a.m. after finding Bryant’s body on the 5300 block of Georges Hill Drive, NBC10 reported.
