Woman killed by truck

KENSINGTON – Police are searching for the driver responsible for a fatal hit-and-run Tuesday night.

Veronica Santiago, 26, was crossing Fifth Street near York when she was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on Fifth Street, police said. The vehicle fled and Santiago was pronounced dead shortly after midnight.

The vehicle is described as a white or tan midsize pickup with tinted windows and a dent in the passenger side door.
