A woman was shot during a house party in Fern Rock early this morning .
Police responded around 4:17 a.m. to a residence on the 1800 block of Roselyn Street. There, they found a house party with multiple attendees and a woman, 19, shot in both legs in the basement. She was rushed to Einstein Medical Center, where she is in stable condition.
Witnesses told investigators that the suspect attempted to go upstairs when another partygoer tried to stop him. He pulled out a handgun, went to the basement and began demanding money from its occupants. He made away with $200 and was about to leave through the rear basement door when he turned and shot two to three rounds, then fled.
He is described as a skinny, six-foot-three to six-foot-four 170-pound dark-complected black male in his early 30s with a trimmed but scruffy mustache and beard wearing a black hoodie and jeans.
There were no other injuries. No arrests have yet been made.
