A suspect followed a 23-year-old woman as she drove home from work, eventually shooting her in the head at around 3:15 a.m. Saturday in the Center City area, according to the PPD.
Authorities said the woman left her job in King of Prussia and reported being trailed by a black Nissan with heavily tinted windows and a broken left front headlight. The driver followed the victim as she traveled on I-76 East and the Vine Street Expressway, investigators said.
She exited the highway in Center City, and the Nissan driver got out and opened fire near the 400 block of N. 5th Street, police said. The suspect then drove off in an unknown direction, according to the PPD.
The victim was hospitalized in stable condition, authorities said. No arrests have been reported.
